Avenue Restaurant - Pier Village Long Branch

Avenue Restaurant is one of the hot dining and club destinations on the Jersey Shore. Located in Pier Village, Avenue Restaurant provides an elegant oceanfront dining experience.

Avenue Restaurant is owned by Nick Diaco, a local entrepreneur. The restaurant service French inspired cuisine and is part of the Le Club experience. A private club and rooftop pool are included in an exclusive membership package that is not for the faint of heart.

Reservations are recommend for Avenue Restaurant and the summer crowds create a line out the door on the weekends. The on-line reviews on the restaurant have been all over the map. From the on-line reviews the experience has been varied, summarized as follows:

Food is expensive for what you get
Service needs to improve as well as customer service
Be prepared to wait if you don't have a reservation.

In April 2007, I had the opportunity to dine at Avenue and I was very pleased with the atmosphere, service and food. The seafood was fresh and the presentation of all the dishes were beautifully done. Maybe the negative comments were from their earlier days, when they were just opened when their wait staff was being fine tuned. As of April 2007, I would say that Avenue has their act together for fine dining and I would recommend it highly.
